E8-19195 Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Designation of Critical Habitat for the Bay Checkerspot Butterfly (Euphydryas editha bayensis) Rule We, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service), are designating revised critical habitat for the Bay checkerspot butterfly (Euphydryas editha bayensis) under the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended (Act). In total, approximately 18,293 acres (ac) (7,403 hectares (ha)) fall within the boundaries of the revised critical habitat designation for the Bay checkerspot butterfly. The revision to critical habitat is located in San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties, California.
