E8-17839 Streamlining Public Housing Programs Proposed Rule This proposed rule would support HUD's overall objective to streamline the regulations governing public housing programs and to facilitate the transition of public housing agencies (PHAs) to asset management. In general, this proposed rule would streamline portions of the public housing regulations, and more closely align the regulatory framework of public housing with other federally subsidized housing programs, providing PHAs greater flexibility within the parameters of current law.
