E8-15331 Approval and Promulgation of Air Quality Implementation Plans; Illinois and Indiana; Finding of Attainment for 1-Hour Ozone for the Chicago-Gary-Lake County, IL-IN Area Proposed Rule On January 30, 2007, the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) requested that EPA find that the Chicago ozone nonattainment area, located within the Chicago-Gary-Lake County, Illinois-Indiana (IL-IN) area, has attained the revoked 1-hour ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS). On October 25, 2007, the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) requested that EPA find that Lake and Porter Counties, also within the Chicago-Gary- Lake County, IL-IN area, have attained the revoked 1-hour ozone NAAQS.
