2021-12339 Spartan Motors USA, Inc., Receipt of Petition for Decision of Inconsequential Noncompliance Notice Spartan Motors USA, Inc. (Spartan), has determined that certain model year (MY) 2005 2012;2020 Spartan Diamond, Gladiator, and MetroStar emergency response vehicles do not fully comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 121, Air Brake Systems. Spartan filed an original noncompliance report dated November 4, 2019, and later amended it on November 11, 2019. Subsequently, Spartan petitioned NHTSA on December 2, 2019, for a decision that the subject noncompliance is inconsequential as it relates to motor vehicle safety.
