2020-24897 Video Description: Implementation of the Twenty-First Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act of 2010 Rule In this document, the Commission expands its video description requirements by phasing them in for an additional 10 designated market areas (DMAs) each year for the next four years. This action is based on a finding that the costs of expanding the video description regulations to DMAs 61 through 100 are reasonable for program owners, providers, and distributors. In addition, the Commission modernizes the terminology in its rules to use the more common and widely understood term "audio description" rather than "video description."
