2019-23575 Airworthiness Directives; De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited (Type Certificate Previously Held by Bombardier, Inc.) Airplanes Proposed Rule The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited Model DHC-8-400 series airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by reports of wear on fuel couplings, bonding springs, and sleeves as well as fuel tube end ferrules and fuel component end ferrules. This proposed AD would require repetitive inspections of certain parts for discrepancies that meet specified criteria, and replacement as necessary; repetitive inspections of certain parts for damage and wear, and rework of parts; and electrical bonding checks of certain couplings. This proposed AD would also require revising the existing maintenance or inspection program, as applicable, to incorporate new or more restrictive airworthiness limitations. For certain airplanes, this proposed AD would allow a modification that would terminate the repetitive inspections. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products. 2019-10-30 2019 10 https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2019/10/30/2019-23575/airworthiness-directives-de-havilland-aircraft-of-canada-limited-type-certificate-previously-held-by https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2019-10-30/pdf/2019-23575.pdf Transportation Department; Federal Aviation Administration 492,159 The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited Model DHC-8-400 series airplanes.
