2019-16331 Safe Integration of Automated Driving Systems-Equipped Commercial Motor Vehicles Proposed Rule The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) extends the comment period for its May 28, 2019, advance notice of proposed rulemaking (ANPRM) and its May 31, 2019 correction notice concerning Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations that may need to be amended, revised, or eliminated to facilitate the safe introduction of automated driving systems equipped commercial motor vehicles onto our Nation's roadways. FMCSA received a request for an extension to the comment period from the American Trucking Associations and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Technology Engagement Center. The Agency believes it is appropriate to extend the comment period to provide interested parties additional time to submit their responses to the ANPRM.
