2019-02292 E-Rate Program Amortization Requirement, Modernizing the E-Rate Program for Schools and Libraries Proposed Rule In this document, the Federal Communications Commission (Commission) proposes to eliminate the E-Rate amortization requirement, which requires E-Rate applicants to amortize over three years upfront, non-recurring category one charges of $500,000 or more.
