| 2018-26037 | Reporting Requirements Governing Hearing Aid-Compatible Mobile Handsets | Rule | In this document, the Federal Communications Commission ("Commission" or "FCC") revises its rules to require service providers to post on their publicly accessible websites information regarding the hearing aid compatibility of their offered handsets. Service providers are also required to retain information regarding the hearing aid compatibility of handsets previously offered. Through this information, consumers will have access to the most recent data about hearing aid-compatible handsets and the Commission will be able to ensure compliance with the hearing aid compatibility rules and requirements. In addition, the Commission no longer requires providers to file FCC Form 655 on an annual basis.
