| 2018-25361 | Agency Information Collection Activities: Requests for Comments; Clearance of Renewed Approval of Information Collection: Certification of Airports | Notice | In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, FAA invites public comments about our intention to request the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) approval to renew an information collection. The Federal Register Notice with a 60-day comment period soliciting comments on the following collection of information was published on July 31, 2018. The collection involves FAA Form 5280-1, Application for Airport Operating Certificate. Every airport that wants to become a certificated airport must complete this form, as well as provide a draft Airport Certification Manual (ACM). In addition, currently certificated airports must maintain their ACM, as well as keep and maintain records related to training, self-inspection, and other requirements. These records allow the FAA to verify compliance with regulation safety and operational requirements to ensure that the airports meet the minimum safety requirements, which in turn enhances the safety of the flying public. | 2018-11-21 | 2018 | 11 | https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2018/11/21/2018-25361/agency-information-collection-activities-requests-for-comments-clearance-of-renewed-approval-of | https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2018-11-21/pdf/2018-25361.pdf | Transportation Department; Federal Aviation Administration | 492,159 | In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, FAA invites public comments about our intention to request the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) approval to renew an information collection.
