2018-21803 Deceptive Advertising as to Sizes of Viewable Pictures Shown by Television Receiving Sets Rule The Federal Trade Commission ("Commission") has completed its regulatory review of its Trade Regulation Rule Concerning the Deceptive Advertising as to Sizes of Viewable Pictures Shown by Television Receiving Sets ("Picture Tube Rule" or "Rule"), as part of its systematic review of all current Commission regulations and guides. Pursuant to that review, the Commission now determines that the Rule is no longer necessary to prevent deceptive claims regarding the size of television screens and to encourage uniformity and accuracy in their marketing.
