2018-09562 Amendment of Class E Airspace; Charlotte, MI Rule This action modifies Class E airspace extending upward from 700 feet above the surface at Fitch H. Beach Airport, Charlotte, MI, due to the decommissioning of the Lansing VHF omnidirectional range (VOR) and collocated tactical air navigation (TACAN) which provided navigation guidance for the instrument procedures to this airport. The Lansing VOR/TACAN is being decommissioned as part of the VOR Minimum Operational Network (MON) Program. This action enhances safety and management of instrument flight rules (IFR) operations at this airport. Additionally, the geographic coordinates of the airport are being adjusted to coincide with the FAA's aeronautical database. An editorial change is also being made removing the city associated with the airport name in the airspace legal designation. 2018-05-07 2018 5 https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2018/05/07/2018-09562/amendment-of-class-e-airspace-charlotte-mi https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2018-05-07/pdf/2018-09562.pdf Transportation Department; Federal Aviation Administration 492,159 This action modifies Class E airspace extending upward from 700 feet above the surface at Fitch H.
