2017-23257 Removing Barriers for Religious and Faith-Based Organizations To Participate in HHS Programs and Receive Public Funding Proposed Rule The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is committed to delivering services to the public as efficiently and effectively as possible. Religious and faith-based organizations (hereafter "faith-based organizations") are important partners with unique expertise that is crucial to advancing HHS's mission of protecting and enhancing the health and well-being of Americans.
