| 2017-10138 | Airworthiness Directives; Airbus Airplanes | Proposed Rule | We propose to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Airbus Model A319 series airplanes; Model A320-211, -212, -214, -231, -232, and -233, airplanes; and Model A321-111, -112, -131, -211, -212, -213, -231, and -232 airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by a report of cracks on frame forks and outer skin on the forward and aft cargo compartment doors. This proposed AD would require repetitive inspections of the frame forks, and corrective actions if necessary. This proposed AD would also include optional modifications that constitute terminating action. We are proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products. | 2017-05-22 | 2017 | 5 | https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2017/05/22/2017-10138/airworthiness-directives-airbus-airplanes | https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2017-05-22/pdf/2017-10138.pdf | Transportation Department; Federal Aviation Administration | 492,159 | We propose to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Airbus Model A319 series airplanes; Model A320-211, -212, -214, -231, -232, and -233, airplanes; and Model A321-111, -112, -131, -211, -212, -213, -231, and -232 airplanes.
