| 2017-00502 | Airworthiness Directives; Diamond Aircraft Industries GmbH Airplanes | Rule | We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Diamond Aircraft Industries GmbH Model DA 42 airplanes. This AD results from mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) issued by an aviation authority of another country to identify and correct an unsafe condition on an aviation product. The MCAI describes the unsafe condition as an uncommanded engine shutdown during flight due to failure of the propeller regulating valve caused by hot exhaust gases escaping from fractured engine exhaust pipes. We are issuing this AD to require actions to address the unsafe condition on these products. | 2017-01-18 | 2017 | 1 | https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2017/01/18/2017-00502/airworthiness-directives-diamond-aircraft-industries-gmbh-airplanes | https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2017-01-18/pdf/2017-00502.pdf | Transportation Department; Federal Aviation Administration | 492,159 | We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Diamond Aircraft Industries GmbH Model DA 42 airplanes.
