2016-28471 Contact Lens Rule Proposed Rule As part of its regulatory review of the Contact Lens Rule ("Rule"), and consistent with the requirements of the Fairness to Contact Lens Consumers Act (the "Act"), the Federal Trade Commission proposes to amend the Rule to require that prescribers obtain a signed acknowledgment after releasing a contact lens prescription to a patient, and maintain each such acknowledgment for a period of not less than three years.
