2016-27444 Airworthiness Directives; Various Aircraft Equipped With BRP-Powertrain GmbH & Co KG 912 A Series Engine Rule We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for various aircraft equipped with a BRP-Powertrain GmbH & Co KG (formerly Rotax Aircraft Engines) 912 A series engine. This AD results from mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) issued by an aviation authority of another country to identify and correct an unsafe condition on an aviation product. The MCAI describes the unsafe condition as a manufacturing defect found in certain carburetor floats where an in-flight engine shutdown and forced landing could occur when the affected cylinder had reduced or blocked fuel supply. We are issuing this AD to require actions to address the unsafe condition on these products. 2016-11-18 2016 11 https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2016/11/18/2016-27444/airworthiness-directives-various-aircraft-equipped-with-brp-powertrain-gmbh-and-co-kg-912-a-series https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2016-11-18/pdf/2016-27444.pdf Transportation Department; Federal Aviation Administration 492,159 We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for various aircraft equipped with a BRP-Powertrain GmbH & Co KG (formerly Rotax Aircraft Engines) 912 A series engine.
