| 2016-23293 | Air Plan Approval; Ohio; Redesignation of the Columbus, Ohio Area to Attainment of the 2008 Ozone Standard | Proposed Rule | The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to find that the Columbus, Ohio area is attaining the 2008 8-hour ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS or standard) and to approve a request from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (Ohio EPA) to redesignate the area to attainment for the 2008 ozone NAAQS because the request meets the statutory requirements for redesignation under the Clean Air Act (CAA or Act). The Columbus area includes Delaware, Fairfield, Knox, Licking, and Mason Counties. Ohio EPA submitted this request on June 16, 2016. EPA is also proposing to approve, as a revision to the Ohio State Implementation Plan (SIP), the state's plan for maintaining the 2008 8-hour ozone standard through 2030 in the Columbus area. Finally, EPA finds adequate and is proposing to approve the state's 2020 and 2030 volatile organic compound (VOC) and oxides of nitrogen (NO<INF>X</INF>) Motor Vehicle Emission Budgets (MVEBs) for the Columbus area. | 2016-09-28 | 2016 | 9 | https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2016/09/28/2016-23293/air-plan-approval-ohio-redesignation-of-the-columbus-ohio-area-to-attainment-of-the-2008-ozone | https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2016-09-28/pdf/2016-23293.pdf | Environmental Protection Agency | 145 | The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to find that the Columbus, Ohio area is attaining the 2008 8-hour ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS or standard) and to approve a request from the Ohio Environmental Protection... |
