2015-28886 Airworthiness Directives; Airbus Airplanes Rule We are superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2008-22-20 for certain Airbus Model A330-200, A330-300, and A340-300 series airplanes. AD 2008-22-20 required repetitive high frequency eddy current (HFEC) inspections for cracking, repair if necessary, and modification of the upper shell structure of the fuselage. This new AD shortens certain compliance times. This AD was prompted by a determination from a fatigue and damage tolerance evaluation that the compliance times must be reduced.
