2014-29910 Notice for Data and Information Distribution Policy Notice On April 24, 2013, FAA issued a proposed Data and Information Distribution Policy for public comment; 140 comments were received during the open comment period. On May 9, 2013, subsequent to the FAA's draft policy release, Executive Order (EO) 13642 "Making Open and Machine Readable the New Default for Government Information," and Office of Management and Budget (OMB) M-13-13 "Open Data Policy-- Managing Information as an Asset," were issued.
