2014-27019 Special Conditions: CFM International, LEAP-1A and -1C Engine Models; Incorporation of Woven Composite Fan Blades Proposed Rule This action proposes special conditions for the CFM International (CFM), LEAP-1A and -1C engine models. These engines will have a novel or unusual design feature associated with the engine fan blades--new woven composite fan blades. The applicable airworthiness regulations do not contain adequate or appropriate safety standards for this design feature.
