2014-17274 Disclosure of Consumer Complaint Narrative Data Notice The Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection ("Bureau") currently discloses certain complaint data it receives regarding consumer financial products and services via its web-based, public- facing database ("Consumer Complaint Database"). The Bureau proposes to expand that disclosure to include unstructured consumer complaint narrative data ("narratives"). Only those narratives for which opt-in consumer consent had been obtained and a robust personal information scrubbing standard and methodology applied would be subject to disclosure.
