2014-16066 Safety Zone, Miami Paddle Challenge, Biscayne Bay; Miami, FL Proposed Rule The Coast Guard proposes to establish a temporary safety zone on the waters of Biscayne Bay located west of Key Biscayne and south of Rickenbacker Causeway in Miami, Florida during the Miami Paddle Challenge, a series of paddle boat races. The Miami Paddle Challenge is scheduled to take place on September 13, 2014. The temporary safety zone is necessary to provide for the safety of race participants, participant vessels, spectators, and the general public during the event. The safety zone will establish a regulated area that will encompass the event area.
