| 2014-08061 | Proposed Expansion and Regulatory Revision of Gulf of the Farallones and Cordell Bank National Marine Sanctuaries | Proposed Rule | The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is proposing to expand the boundaries of Gulf of the Farallones National Marine Sanctuary (GFNMS) and Cordell Bank National Marine Sanctuary (CBNMS) to an area north and west of their current boundaries, as well as to amend existing sanctuary regulations and add new regulations. NOAA is also proposing to revise the corresponding sanctuary terms of designation and management plans. The purpose of this action is to extend national marine sanctuary protections to an area that has nationally significant marine resources and habitats and is the source of nutrient-rich upwelled waters for the existing sanctuaries. A draft environmental impact statement and draft revised management plans have been prepared for this proposed action. NOAA is soliciting public comment on the proposed rule, draft environmental impact statement, and draft revised management plans. | 2014-04-14 | 2014 | 4 | https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2014/04/14/2014-08061/proposed-expansion-and-regulatory-revision-of-gulf-of-the-farallones-and-cordell-bank-national | https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2014-04-14/pdf/2014-08061.pdf | Commerce Department; National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration | 54,361 | The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is proposing to expand the boundaries of Gulf of the Farallones National Marine Sanctuary (GFNMS) and Cordell Bank National Marine Sanctuary (CBNMS) to an area north and west of their current... | 0648-BD18 |
