This AD was prompted by a rupture of the diffuser-to-high-pressure turbine (HPT) case flange. This AD requires a one-time eddy current inspection (ECI) of affected engines with certain diffuser and HPT cases installed. This AD also requires a fluorescent-penetrant inspection (FPI) of the diffuser case rear flange and HPT case front flange.
