2012-26295 Consideration of Environmental Impacts of Temporary Storage of Spent Fuel After Cessation of Reactor Operation Proposed Rule The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the Commission) is updating its Waste Confidence Decision and Rule. The NRC intends to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to support the rulemaking to update the Commission's Waste Confidence Decision and Rule, and is conducting a scoping process to gather information necessary to prepare the EIS.
