| 2011-7932 | Atlantic Highly Migratory Species; Atlantic Bluefin Tuna Fisheries | Rule | NMFS has determined that the Atlantic bluefin tuna (BFT) daily retention limit should be adjusted for the remainder of 2011, based on consideration of the regulatory determination criteria regarding inseason adjustments and based on North Carolina Tagging Program data. These actions apply to vessels permitted in the Highly Migratory Species (HMS) Angling category and Charter/Headboat category (when fishing recreationally for BFT). NMFS also closes the southern area Angling category fishery for large medium and giant ("trophy") BFT. These actions are being taken consistent with the BFT fishery management objectives of the 2006 Consolidated HMS Fishery Management Plan and to prevent overharvest of the 2011 Angling category quota. | 2011-04-04 | 2011 | 4 | https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2011/04/04/2011-7932/atlantic-highly-migratory-species-atlantic-bluefin-tuna-fisheries | https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2011-04-04/pdf/2011-7932.pdf | Commerce Department; National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration | 54,361 | NMFS has determined that the Atlantic bluefin tuna (BFT) daily retention limit should be adjusted for the remainder of 2011, based on consideration of the regulatory determination criteria regarding inseason adjustments and based on North Carolina... | 0648-XA32 |
