2011-4817 Emergency Homeowners' Loan Program: Announcement of Activation of Program and Availability of Emergency Assistance Notice This notice announces the reactivation of the Emergency Homeowners' Loan Program, originally established by statute in 1975, and reauthorized, with certain modifications, by the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, which also made $1 billion in funding available for this program. The Emergency Homeowners' Loan Program provides emergency mortgage relief to homeowners who are unemployed or underemployed and at risk of foreclosure and who meet certain requirements of the program.
