2011-21164 Interest and Penalty Suspension Provisions Under Section 6404(g) of the Internal Revenue Code Rule This document contains final regulations regarding the suspension of interest, penalties, additions to tax, or additional amounts under section 6404(g) of the Internal Revenue Code. The final regulations explain the general rules for suspension and exceptions to those general rules, and incorporate a special rule from Notice 2007- 93, 2007-48 IRB 1072, regarding the effective date of the changes to section 6404(g) made by the Small Business and Work Opportunity Tax Act of 2007.
