2011-18955 Domestic Licensing of Source Material-Amendments/Integrated Safety Analysis Proposed Rule The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is proposing to amend its Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Part 40 regulations by adding additional requirements for source material licensees who possess significant quantities of uranium hexafluoride (UF6). The proposed rule and proposed guidance document were published in the Federal Register on May 17, 2011 (76 FR 28336), for public comment and an administrative correction to 76 FR 28336 was published in the Federal Register on June 1, 2011 (76 FR 31507). The Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI), in a letter dated June 21, 2011, requested the NRC to hold a public meeting on the proposed rule and draft guidance document and to extend the public comment period. Based on NEI's request, the NRC will conduct a public meeting on August 17, 2011, to seek public input on the proposed rule and its associated draft guidance document.
