The FHIP NOFA makes available approximately $40.7 million under the Consolidated Appropriations Act 2010. The purpose of the FHIP program is to investigate allegations of housing discrimination, educate the public and the housing industry about their rights and responsibilities under the Fair Housing Act and increase compliance with the Fair Housing Act. This year's NOFA funds the following initiatives: Private Enforcement, Education and Outreach, and the Fair Housing Organizations Initiatives. The notice providing information regarding the application process, funding criteria and eligibility requirements can be found using the Department of Housing and Urban Development agency link on the Grants.gov/Find Web site at http://www.grants.gov/search/agency.do.
