2010-29968 Implementation of Section 203 of the Satellite Television Extension and Localism Act of 2010 (STELA); Amendments to Section 340 of the Communications Act Rule In this document, the Commission modifies its satellite television "significantly viewed" rules to implement Section 203 of the Satellite Television Extension and Localism Act of 2010 (STELA). Section 203 of the STELA amends Section 340 of the Communications Act, which gives satellite carriers the authority to offer out-of-market but "significantly viewed" broadcast television network stations as part of their local service to subscribers.
