Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. 5121 et seq.) as a result of the severe storms and flooding that occurred from March through May, 2010. As described in the SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION section of this Notice, HUD is authorized by statute and regulations to waive statutory and regulatory requirements and specify alternative requirements upon the request of a grantee.
