| 2010-18344 | Licenses, Certifications, and Approvals for Material Licensees | Proposed Rule | The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is proposing to amend its regulations by revising the provisions applicable to the licensing and approval processes for byproduct, source and special nuclear material licenses, and irradiators. The proposed changes would clarify the definitions of "construction" and "commencement of construction" with respect to materials licensing actions instituted under the NRC's regulations. In addition, this action also contains a correction to a typographical error. The NRC is undertaking this rulemaking action to conform its regulations to the scope of its regulatory authority under the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (AEA), to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the licensing and approval processes for future applications, as well as resolve certain inconsistencies that currently exist within the NRC's regulations with respect to the use and definition of the terms "construction" or "commencement of construction" for certain materials licensees. | 2010-07-27 | 2010 | 7 | https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2010/07/27/2010-18344/licenses-certifications-and-approvals-for-material-licensees | https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2010-07-27/pdf/2010-18344.pdf | Nuclear Regulatory Commission | 383 | The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is proposing to amend its regulations by revising the provisions applicable to the licensing and approval processes for byproduct, source and special nuclear material licenses, and irradiators.
