00-24634 Noise Certification Regulations for Helicopters Proposed Rule The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is proposing changes to the noise certification regulations for helicopters. These proposed changes are based on a joint effort by the FAA, the European Joint Aviation Authorities (JAA), and Aviation Rulemaking Advisory Committee (ARAC), to harmonize the U.S. noise certification regulations and the European Joint Aviation Requirements (JAR) for helicopters. These proposed changes would provide nearly uniform noise certification standards for helicopters certificated in the United States, the JAA countries, and other countries that have adopted as their national regulation either the United States regulations, the JAA regulations, or the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards. The harmonization of the noise certification standards would simplify airworthiness approvals for import and export purposes. 2000-10-05 2000 10 https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2000/10/05/00-24634/noise-certification-regulations-for-helicopters https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2000-10-05/pdf/00-24634.pdf Transportation Department; Federal Aviation Administration 492,159 The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is proposing changes to the noise certification regulations for helicopters.
