PABLO JOSE HERNANDEZ\n\n                             of puerto rico\n\n                    in the house of representatives\n\n                       Tuesday, February 24, 2026\n\n  Mr. HERNANDEZ. Mr. Speaker, I rise today to recognize and commend the\noutstanding achievements of three students from Puerto Rico who have\nbeen selected as 2025 U.S. Presidential Scholars. This prestigious\nhonor, announced on September 26, 2025, by U.S. Secretary of Education,\nLinda McMahon, recognizes only 161 high school seniors nationwide for\ntheir accomplishments in academics, the arts, and career and technical\neducation,\n  It is with great pride that I acknowledge and include in the Record\nthe following Presidential Scholars from Puerto Rico:\n       Lucas J. Mendoza, Dorado--Tasis School in Dorado\n       Anna Cristina Sgroi Morillo, Carolina--Robinson School\n       Nicolas Antonio Unanue, San Juan--St. John's School\n  These students exemplify the highest standards of scholarship,\nleadership, and service. Their recognition as Presidential Scholars is\nnot only a testament to their academic excellence but also a reflection\nof their dedication, resilience, and the support of their families,\nteachers, and communities.\n  The future of Puerto Rico and of our Nation is strengthened by the\npromise of young leaders such as Lucas, Anna Cristina, and Nicolas.
