LISA C. McCLAIN\n\n                              of michigan\n\n                    in the house of representatives\n\n                       Friday, February 20, 2026\n\n  Mrs. McCLAIN. Mr. Speaker, I rise today to honor Ryan Wilson,\nrecipient of the Lapeer Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year Award,\nwhose generosity and dedication to service have strengthened families,\nschools, and community organizations throughout Lapeer County.\n  Ryan has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to local students and\nfamilies by helping pay down school lunch debt in the North Branch,\nAlmont, and Imlay City School Districts. He actively supports school\nand community fundraisers by selling tickets, hosting bottle drives,\nand donating gift cards, food, and meat to organizations such as The\nRefuge and numerous school programs.\n  Ryan maintains a shelf stocked with free, nonperishable food items\navailable to anyone in need--no questions asked. He sponsors youth and\nadult baseball teams, matches donations to Project Graduation up to\n$1,000, prepares and donates meals for marching band students, and\nsupports local farmers by offering space to sell their produce at no\ncost.
