The Committee\ngranted, by a record vote of 7-6, a rule providing for consideration of\nthe Senate amendment to H.R. 1, the ``One Big Beautiful Bill Act''. The\nrule makes in order a motion offered by the chair of the Committee on\nthe Budget or his designee that the House concur in the Senate\namendment to H.R. 1. The rule waives all points of order against\nconsideration of the motion and the Senate amendment. The rule provides\nthat the Senate amendment and the motion shall be considered as read.\nFinally, the rule provides one hour of debate on the motion equally\ndivided among and controlled by the chair and ranking minority member\nof the Committee on the Budget or their respective designees and the\nchair and ranking minority member of the Committee on Ways and Means or\ntheir respective designees.
