Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that the text of the motions to commit be printed in the Record: Motion to Commit With Instructions Ms. Blunt Rochester moves to commit the bill H.R. 1 to the Committee on Finance of the Senate with instructions to report the same back to the Senate in 3 days, not counting any day on which the Senate is not in session, with changes that-- (1) are within the jurisdiction of such committee; (2) would strike any provision limiting Medicaid state- directed payments; and (3) would preserve access to hospital labor and delivery units to protect the 40% of births nationwide and nearly 50% of births in rural communities that are financed by Medicaid. Motion to Commit With Instructions Ms. Blunt Rochester moves to commit the bill H.R. 1 to the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation of the Senate with instructions to report the same back to the Senate in 3 days, not counting any day on which the Senate is not in session, with changes that-- (1) are within the jurisdiction of such committee; and (2) strike provisions that would undermine the access of the people of the United States to affordable, high-speed internet, including cuts to broadband funding, deployment, and access programs. Motion to Commit With Instructions Ms. Blunt Rochester moves to commit the bill H.R. 1 to the Committee on Environment and Public Works of the Senate with instructions to report the same back to the Senate in 3 days, not counting any day on which the Senate is not in session, with changes that-- (1) are within the jurisdiction of such committee; and (2) would require federally funded lead service line removal projects to be completed within 10 years of the date of enactment of that bill. Motion to Commit With Instructions Ms. BLUNT ROCHESTER moves to commit the bill H.R. 1 to the Committee on Finance of the Senate with instructions to report the same back to the Senate in 3 days, not counting any day on which the Senate is not in session, with changes that- (1) are within the jurisdiction of such committee; and (2) would create an above-the-line tax deduction for primary care, dental, and mental health workers serving in Health Professional Shortage Areas. Motion to Commit With Instructions Ms. BLUNT ROCHESTER moves to commit the bill H.R. 1 to the Committee on Finance of the Senate with instructions to report the same back to the Senate in 3 days, not counting any day on which the Senate is not in session, with changes that-- (1) are within the jurisdiction of such committee; and (2) would create a tax cut for veterans recently separated from military service. ____________________
