Mr. President, when the Senate considers the reconciliation bill, H.R. 1, it is my intention to make the following motions to commit to the bill: A motion to commit the bill, H.R. 1, to the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs of the Senate with instructions to report the same back to the Senate in 3 days, not counting any day on which the Senate is not in session, with changes that--(1) are within the jurisdiction of such committee; and (2) would strike provisions that reduce or eliminate grants or loans under the Green and Resilient Retrofit Program of the Department of Housing and Urban Development. A motion to commit the bill, H.R. 1, to the Committee on Finance of the Senate with instructions to report the same back to the Senate in 3 days, not counting any day on which the Senate is not in session, with changes that--(1) are within the jurisdiction of such committee; and (2) would strike provisions that make it hard for children to access health care. A motion to commit the bill, H.R. 1, to the Committee on Finance of the Senate with instructions to report the same back to the Senate in 3 days, not counting any day on which the Senate is not in session, with changes that--(1) are within the jurisdiction of such committee; and (2) would strike provisions that make it harder for small business owners, employees, or families covered under the Medicaid program or a qualified health plan offered on an Exchange to access health care. ____________________
