In my capacity as the Senator from Kansas, I ask unanimous consent that when the Senate completes its business today, it adjourn to then convene for a pro forma session on Monday, December 31, at 10 a.m. I further ask that when the Senate adjourns on Monday December 31, it next convene at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2; and that following the prayer and pledge, the morning hour be deemed expired, the Journal of proceedings be approved to date, the time for the two leaders be reserved for their use later in the day, and morning business be closed; finally, that following leader remarks, the Senate resume consideration of the House message to accompany H.R. 695. ____________________
