Mr. Speaker, I rise today in recognition of a pillar of\nthe Richmond community. This year, Richmonders and parishioners\ncelebrate the 150th anniversary of Sixth Mount Zion Baptist Church.\n  Sixth Mount Zion Baptist Church has been a central institution in our\ncommunity since its founding in 1867 by Reverend John Jasper. The\nchurch was founded in an abandoned Confederate horse stable on Brown's\nIsland and, since then, has been a pillar of our community.\n  The long history of supporting the community has continued under the\nleadership of six distinguished leaders, including the current pastor,\nReverend Tyrone Nelson.\n  Reverend Nelson is a fellow alumnus of Virginia Union University's\nSamuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology, a member of Henrico County\nBoard of Supervisors, and a longtime friend.\n  Sixth Mount Zion Baptist Church has addressed the social concerns of\nthe city's residents and was one of the first Black churches to have an\norganized charity with a staff social worker available to help our\ncommunity.\n  Mr. Speaker, Sixth Mount Zion Baptist Church continues to assist\ncommunity members with resources necessary to overcome life's\nobstacles.\n  I pray that Sixth Mount Zion Baptist Church will thrive in our\ncommunity for another 150 years.\n\n                          ____________________"]], "columns": ["granule_id", "date", "congress", "session", "volume", "issue", "title", "chamber", "granule_class", "sub_granule_class", "page_start", "page_end", "speakers", "bills", "citation", "full_text"], "primary_keys": ["granule_id"], "primary_key_values": ["CREC-2017-09-05-pt1-PgH6647"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 14.912909013219178, "source": "Federal Register API & Regulations.gov API", "source_url": "https://www.federalregister.gov/developers/api/v1", "license": "Public Domain (U.S. Government data)", "license_url": "https://www.regulations.gov/faq"}
