ED     [67 FR 69655, Nov. 18, 2002, as amended at 77 FR 60049, Oct. 2, 2012; 81 FR 50323, Aug. 1, 2016] The purpose of this part is to make inflation adjustments to the civil monetary penalties within the jurisdiction of the Department of Education. These penalties are subject to review and adjustment as necessary at least once every 4 years in accordance with the Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act of 1990, as amended.
