Advocate for federal funding that will ensure that the thousands of families that experience child abuse each year in Orange County, Florida are able to access the services needed to help them recover and heal. Advocate for federal funding to support a drug discovery program to improve the survival of, provide faster recovery for, and limit or eliminate drug side effects experienced by US military men and women after exposure to high levels of radiation. The funding will be used to create a platform where scientists can study the effect of radiation on nanoparticles with or without cells. This research will ultimately lead to the development of an effective drug for the treatment of radiation exposure for military personnel who are exposed to high doses of radiation during service to our country.
