(Ltr. 7/26/00) We believe there are still too many unanswered questions on the substance of H.R. 2944, and passage of this bill would be premature. The IBEW urged the House Commerce Committee to vote "No" on the overall bill. However, if this legislation does move forward, we supported including the worker protection amendment that would be offered by Congressmen Brown and Shimkus.
