FUTURE LEGISLATIVE PROPOSALS: Breast Cancer Prevention Partners visits Congressional offices to oppose legislative proposals that undermine transparency for consumers and undermine states' ability to protect the public health of their citizens by preempting science-based ingredient labeling for consumer products. Breast Cancer Prevention Partners supports efforts to reintroduce legislation that establishes environmental justice as a consideration in the regulation of pesticides and personal care products. Breast Cancer Prevention Partners supports efforts to reintroduce legislation that would ban food containers composed, in whole or in part, of bisphenol A (BPA). Breast Cancer Prevention Partners supports ongoing efforts to reintroduce legislation in the House that would mandate the testing of chemicals for their health risks- including potentially hazardous, cancer-causing chemicals currently being used in a variety of consumer products.
