CFI supports the right of every person to freedom from religious discrimination inpublic accommodations and facilities, education, federal funding, employment, housing, credit, and the jury system. Such discrimination is especially prominent against LGBTQ persons. In the 1st Quarter of 2019, CFI lobbied to support H.R. 5/S. 788, the Equality Act. CFI supports the right of every person to secular addiction recovery services that support Medication-Assisted Treatment. In the 1st Quarter of 2019, CFI lobbied for a small portion of the Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Block Grant program appropriation to be dedicated to develop the capacity and infrastructure of evidence-based mutual aid recovery support programs that support Medication-Assisted Treatment.
