NETWORK strongly supports the bi-partisan DREAM Act that provides a pathway to citizenship for recipients of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival program (DACA) and believes it should be passed immediately to protect Dreamers. NETWORK strongly opposes the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Justice efforts to engage in the mass deportation of 11 million aspiring Americans who live in communities across the U.S. NETWORK strongly opposes efforts to restrict asylum seekers from entering the United States at our southern border and believes this is in violation of U.S. and international obligations. NETWORK strongly opposes any funding for a mass deportation force, expanded immigrant detention centers and a further border militarization. NETWORK strongly supports local governments who have taken steps to protect immigrant community members by laws and policies and opposes the Trump Administration's efforts to take any funds away from sanctuary jurisdictions. NETWORK strongly oppose President Trump's Executive Orders that restrict the entrants of refugees from Muslim majority countries. NETWORK opposes the Administration's Presidential Determination (PD) for Refugee Admissions for Fiscal Year 2018 at 45,000 as woefully inadequate in this time of crisis around the globe and disapproves of the Administration's slow processing of refugees in 2018. NETWORK supports the extension of Temporary Protected Status for all countries that have been identified by the Administration for termination. NETWORK opposes DHS efforts to separate parents from their children as families are processed for asylum at the U.S. Southern border. Likewise, we oppose DHS efforts to keep pregnant women in detention. NETWORK opposes DHS efforts to radically alter "public charge" policies through the rulemaking process. | Centers For Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS),Health & Human Services, Dept of (HHS),Homeland Security, Dept of (DHS),HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES,Housing & Urban Development, Dept of (HUD),SENATE,U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) | 0 | 0 | 2018-07-06T11:01:35.380000-04:00 |
