EPA Safer Choice program - CSPA representatives contacted the professional staff of the Senate and House Appropriations Committees urging adequate funding for the program. CSPA met with senior EPA staff to discuss ways to build more flexibility into the Safer Choice program and to develop a path for antimicrobials to be included in the program. CSPA led a broad coalition of 182 companies, trade associations and retailers that expressed united support for the Safer Choice Program in a letter to Administrator Pruitt. Implementing the Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act (Pub. L. No. 114-182) - CSPA representatives met with EPA staff and OMB staff to discuss provisions of the new law related to risk-based procedures for chemical prioritization for risk evaluation and the collection of fees for administering risk evaluations (Section 6), use reporting (Sec. 8) and confidential business information (Sec. 14). S. 263 and H.R. 806, the Ozone Standards Implementation Act of 2017 - CSPA representatives met with the House Energy and Commerce Committee staff to express concerns about the feasibility of complying with the deadlines for implementing the 2015 National Ambient Air Quality Standards for Ozone.
