CSPA addressed provisions of the two bills related to use reporting (TSCA 8), confidential business information (TSCA 14), and preemption (TSCA 18). CSPA contacted the professional staff of the Senate and House Appropriations Committees to support continue adequate funding for the EPA Safer Choice / Design for the Environment (DfE) program. CSPA also met with senior EPA staff to discuss the Safer Choice / DfE program. Legislation to review and delay implementation of the new National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) for ground-level ozone. Specifically, S. 751, the Clean Air, Strong Economies (CASE) Act, H.R. 1388, a bill to improve the establishment of any lower ground-level ozone standards; S. 638, the Commonsense Legislative Exceptional Events Reform Act; H.R. 1320, a bill to delay the review and revision of the NAAQS for ozone, H.R. 1327, a bill to amend the Clean Air Act to delay review and revision of the NAAQS for ozone; H.J. Res. 74, a joint revision providing for Congressional disapproval of the EPA final rule relating to the NAAQS for ozone; and S. J. Res. 25, a joint revision providing for Congressional disapproval of the EPA final rule relating to the NAAQS for ozone.
